Desulphation
When a battery is left unchanged or not fully charged for long periods of time, deposits of lead sulphur form on the lead plates and harden over time, inhibiting the performance of the battery. It can lead to loss of cranking power, longer charging times, excessive heat build-up of your vehicle's electrical system, shorter running times between charges, and ultimately shortening the battery's life.
Our Desulphation Mode
With the Desulphation mode on, the charger is effectively conditioning the battery. During this mode, it removes sulphur from the lead plates, thus reversing the negative effects that the battery is experiencing. The desulphator breaks down the sulphur that has built up and dissolves it. It does this by passing voltage or high-frequency pulses to zap the sulphates. The electricity loosens the sulphates and they then drop into the battery acid and dissolve. This process results in no harm to the battery.
De-sulphation will restore the battery to full capacity, thus increasing its performance and durability. This conditioning process is very successful at extending the life of an automotive battery.
Desulphation Technology in the UK Battery Charging Market
